Cool Mike: I'll Make Your Life Smack Goody-Style!

Lessons I’ve Learned

They say a year in New York is like living 7 years anywhere else in the world. I’ve lived in 6 cities and I must agree with that statement. Here’s some stuff I’ve learned in the past year:

• Positive people find other positive people… same with progressives, nerds, and motivated individuals
• Its quicker to ride your bike than to take the train, a cab or walk (and safe too!)
• A smile goes a long way forward, anything else takes you several steps back
• You have to put your work to work… then it sells itself
• You can change everything in less than 2 seconds
• Anything is possible
• Everyone knows everyone and they’re all excited to play along
• Even in a recession, people are spending!
• People look for something new
• It’s easy to get distracted when you’re not focused
• People are good
• People want you to reach out to them; sometimes the timing matches and other times it needs a small incubation period
• Time is not personal
• People at the top are just as accessible as the people at the bottom and middle
• Thinking too much destroys progress; just do it
• People love looking at beautiful, sexy photos of women… they really do
• If you don’t do it, no one else will; if you don’t do it now, it will never get done
• Think positive and be positive and you’ll always get positive results
• It’s OK to let your guard down and build relationships with new people
• You choose your lifestyle, they’re all possible
• Refined taste is good for the body, mind and soul
• Exceptional framing is easy but changes everything
