Congrats to Adam Bagy & Harpers Bazaar

Adam and I were meeting up to check out the receptions in Chelsea this Thursday and go over a shoot he is styling for me next week. He showed up wearing a 3 piece Dior Tuxedo suit and informed me “I can’t make it… I was just hired by Harper’s Bazaar as an assistant stylist and I’m shooting next week.” I am EXTREMELY happy for both Harper’s and Adam! That will be a winning combination for sure! I am happy that my circle of friends are always pushing themselves and going further with their careers. To the top we all go!

I found this from an old test I did in my Chicago studio back in December ’07 or Jan 08.

Fashion in Art for Fashion

People should not be scared of using clothing as a prop for art… get the product dirty, destroy it, tear it apart, chew it up and spit it out if it will make the piece look better and more exciting for an editorial! You should do anything to increase sells of a product. People smothered by these distortable fears and misunderstandings are living in worlds completely opposite of artists and will never inspire their generation or the generations to come.

– A frequent thought I have brought up again during a discussion I had with another photographer regarding shooting for fashion clients
