The 4 Minute Mile
There was a looooooong time in human history (about 51,000 years) where this was considered impossible. There were many years when people thought people would explode if they ran quicker than 4 minutes.
Quick: think of something impossible. You’re wrong. It is possible.
PS: So far there have been NO women to break the minute mile….
Some Inspiration
I found this picture while searching for new mashups and remixes… this shot epitomizes the way I wanted my life to look like when I was a kid (except I wanted my Countach to be red… and I still do!):

Photos by Irving Penn
Here are some of the photos that have really inspired me. It is hard because many of the great shots are still not online, but I’ve done my best with what is available.

Code X Yacht

Their [Code X] 47′ 7” catamaran has a daringly minimalist and mean origami-meets-Tie-fighter look to it and matches avant garde styling with equally cutting edge technology. As if the choice of power sources wasn’t enough the Bond-villain factor is upped even more by details such as touch screen control and a GPS-controlled ‘virtual anchor’ system that utilises the electric motors to maintain a stationary position regardless of wind or currents.

Twenty Years From Now….
